Services Provided

I work in the domestic (home and garden) and light commercial sector, carrying out all the usual tasks of an electrician including new electrical installations, rewires, additions & alterations, fault finding & repairs, inspection, testing & reporting (ie. the issuing of an Electrical Installation Condition Report or EICR as per requirements for HMOs), and so on.

Where appropriate, installations are certified, insured and notified to Local Authority Building Control. An escrow service is available through TrustMark.

Where and When?

I work in the boroughs of Lewisham, Greenwich, Bromley, Southwark, Tower Hamlets, in central London, throughout Greater London and beyond.

Special rates are offered for work in the local areas of Lee, Blackheath Park, Blackheath, Kidbrooke, Greenwich, Brockley, Crofton Park, Honor Oak Park, Nunhead, Forest Hill, Ladywell, Lewisham, Catford, Hither Green, New Cross, Deptford, Sydenham, Charlton, Eltham, Mottingham, Grove Park, Downham, Bellingham and Bell Green.

I usually work weekdays, but evening and weekend appointments may be arranged.

Green Issues

In my work I keep my ecological footprint as low as I can without compromising the services I offer.

Greater are the environmental and ethical issues associated with the materials which I supply to the customer, and the waste material produced. Perhaps the most serious is the mining and refining of metallic ores. With this in mind,
I donate 2.5% of my labour charges to the charity Survival International.

I endeavour to minimise the impact of my work in the following ways.

  • I use a bicycle when ever possible.
  • I keep most of my work local by advertising locally and offering reduced rates.
  • I arrange for the recycling of:
    • old cable, new offcuts and other copper waste,
    • plastic, paper and cardboard from packaging materials,
    • batteries (which are rechargeable where possible),
  • I run a paperless office.
  • I will never encourage a client to commision needless extra work, however lucrative it may be for my business.

What Else?

If there is anything else you wish to know or if you have a general electrical query, feel free to contact me. (See above for contact details.)
